The Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg, emphasised the importance of a typical political platform for the development of the state, nation, and group. Stunning asserted that Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is devoted to serving and safeguarding the rights of Sarawak and its individuals.
“Our politics must be the right politics with the right intentions. We will work together no matter which get together, as a result of finally it’s the folks we need to shield,” he said on the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) Triennial General Assembly (TGA) held at Dinner World Restaurant on Saturday.
The Premier highlighted that GPS is a neighborhood political platform, which is in a position to battle for Sarawakians regardless of their background. He stressed the importance of unity, stating, “When we’re united, the pillars are sturdy, when the pillars shake it will collapse — to make a home, it takes time… with the planning, designing, the room, kitchen, at least it’s going to take six months or a year, however it’s straightforward to destroy.”
He added that building Sarawak has been an ongoing course of for 60 years, and the focus is on defending and creating the state based on present successes while upgrading it to a higher degree.
