Rotork assists BAE Systems in naval base actuator upgrades

Rotork has been working with BAE Systems to upgrade a collection of A-range actuators to IQ3 actuators which function penstocks controlling movement of ships between the sea and transitional locks and dry docks at Her Majesty’s Naval Base Portsmouth (HMNB Portsmouth).
ร้านซ่อมเครื่องวัดความดัน of A-range actuators had reached the end of their operational life after long service in a challenging setting. BAE Systems wished to retain all the advantages of electrical actuators, so IQ3 actuators have been chosen. These had to be specifically tailored by Rotork to beat problems round confined areas and difficult access.
IQ3 actuators and IS gearboxes have been mechanically tailored in order that each actuator and gearbox could probably be operated by hand without coming into the confined area. Rotork designed special hand auto levers and thru drive mechanisms for the actuator and gearbox to get rid of the necessity for confined area access.
Actuators inside the IQ range are watertight, providing ingress protection to IP66/68 at 20 m for 10 days. They have a sophisticated dual stacked display with configurable data logger performance, and an absolute place sensor supplies reliability and accuracy.
