Hayward Tyler Inc and its sister firm Energy Steel have been awarded multi-million dollar contracts to support the ITER venture in France.

Hayward Tyler’s contract covers variable drive booster pumps whereas Energy Steel will provide sixty two solenoid valve and cubicle packages.
The ITER project is a joint worldwide research and improvement project to show the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion energy. The demonstration facility is under construction in St-Paul-lez-Durance in France, and will be the largest fusion experimental reactor in the world.
Hayward Tyler’s booster pumps might be an integral a part of the drying system for the Tokamak Cooling Water System (TCWS). The pumps shall be designed, built and tested at Hayward Tyler Inc in Colchester, Vermont, USA.
Hayward Tyler and Energy Steel are each a half of the Engineered Pumps and Motors Division of Avingtrans plc.
