Border police searched the vessel and located 10 sacks containing one hundred seventy packs of cocaine. Reports in local media don’t clarify what number of kilograms every pack weighs.
According to the Stung Treng Provincial Police Commissioner, Ot Sivutha, authorities have been patrolling the river close to the Cambodia-Laos border and located the boat suspicious. When officers raided the boat, nobody was on board.
The medication had been confiscated and transferred to the police station, and the authorities have launched an investigation to find out who was involved and make arrests.
Last month, greater than 300 kilograms of medication have been seized in Koh Kong, which were stated to have originated in Laos and have been en route to Thailand..
